College campuses are full of fleeting faces, but for Colby and Josie, one unexpected seat at chapel changed everything. What started with a bold compliment and a quick exit led to coffee, waffles, and eventually, a proposal on a peaceful green farm in Ohio. By the time May 17, 2025 rolled around, their love story had found its next chapter: a sentimental wedding day at The Grange Hall.
Sweet Details from the Ceremony
The couple exchanged vows on the venue’s patio, framed by large glass barn doors and a wooden arbor draped in soft white fabric and eucalyptus. Josie walked down the aisle in a timeless fit and flare wedding gown with off-the-shoulder sleeves and delicate buttons trailing down the back. A waist-length veil and crystal earrings completed her bridal look, while Colby wore a classic black suit and a floral dusty blue tie to match the mood.
Bridesmaids wore an assortment of soft blue gowns, ranging from solid silks to romantic floral prints. They carried whimsical bouquets filled with bright yellow blooms and textured greens. Josie’s bouquet stood out with white orchids and miniature daisies, adding a gentle, graceful contrast to the overall palette.
Reception Highlights
After the ceremony, the wooden arbor was brought indoors as a backdrop for the cake table; a thoughtful reuse of the floral installation. Guests found their seats at round tables dressed in white linens and bright blue napkins. Each table featured a playful spray of wildflowers, keeping the vibe fresh and unfussy.
Dinner was a relaxed Mediterranean-style buffet, served family-style. While there was no alcohol, the couple kept guests energized with a coffee truck. A fun and fitting nod to their very first date.
A Day That Felt Just Right
There were no over-the-top moments, no trendy gimmicks, just an easy, joy-filled day centered around the story of two people who found love in the most unexpected place. Colby and Josie’s wedding was proof that you don’t need excess to make a lasting impression. All you need is good coffee, fresh flowers, and someone willing to sit next to you in chapel.
