Spring Has Sprung at The Grange Hall Ohio

Spring has officially arrived, and progress at The Grange Hall Ohio is moving forward step by step. While this was the week we planned to complete the interior of the barn, our Amish building crew took advantage of the beautiful weather to get their crops planted. No worries though, they’ll be back on Tuesday and expect to finish wrapping the metal by Wednesday or Thursday, just in time for our first two bridal showers this weekend.

Interior Progress & Plumbing Updates

With construction cleared from the barn, we were finally able to complete the rough plumbing for the bathrooms. All lines were pressure-tested on Friday, and we’re officially cleared to begin drywall on Tuesday morning.

Toward the end of the week, A+ Landscaping arrived to plant the first phase of our grass seed. Extra dirt was added around the new concrete areas, and the soil was carefully “rockhounded” to remove stones before planting. We were lucky to avoid the storms that hit surrounding areas Saturday night, and with a couple more good rains, mowing season should be right around the corner.

New Patio Pour for Flexible Ceremonies

One of the biggest highlights came Tuesday with our final round of concrete. Craig Moran Construction arrived early to finish framing the north patio, followed by Ohio Ready Mix and Pumpco Concrete Pumping to place the concrete exactly where it was needed.

Why the New Patio Matters

The new patio gives us additional ceremony space in case of wet weather or water settling in other areas. It adds flexibility for couples planning outdoor weddings and provides a reliable backup location without sacrificing style or comfort.

Weekend Touches & Farm Details

Sunday gave us a nice slowdown after a busy week. Cody connected water lines to the new hanging baskets on the porch and picked up tile that will be installed on the bathroom walls over the next few weeks.

We also started feeding our fish again for the season. They’re fun to watch and will be a great activity for kids attending weddings, parties, and events here at the farm.
