After weeks of planning, our building crew officially began work on several major upgrades that enhance both comfort and functionality for modern barn weddings in Central Ohio.
New Construction Enhancing Your Wedding Experience
Construction started with drilling and setting posts for our new bathrooms, bridal suite area, and back patio. These additions help improve guest flow and convenience while keeping the rustic charm couples love.
While our plumbing team prepared the drain lines for the bathrooms, our crew shifted inside the barn to begin framing and finishing new interior spaces. This phase focuses on comfort, storage, and better preparation areas for both brides and grooms.
Loft Expansion for Seating and Flexibility
One of the biggest upgrades is our newly framed 24×60 loft space. This large area gives couples more flexibility when planning their reception layout.
Prep & Storage Area (24×30)
The first section under the loft will serve as a prep and storage zone. It includes:

A triple-bay sink and hand-washing station

Refrigerators to keep beverages chilled

Storage for extra tables and chairs for smaller receptions
This setup helps our team manage events efficiently while keeping your celebration running smoothly.
Groom’s Lounge & Shop Area (24×30)
The front portion under the loft becomes our groom’s lounge, designed as a relaxed, private getting-ready space for the men. While brides often need more prep time, grooms deserve comfort too.
This area will feature:

A private refrigerator

A laid-back, man-cave style atmosphere
On non-event days, the space also functions as a working barn shop, making smart use of the venue year-round.
A Spacious Loft for Overflow Seating and More
The loft will be accessible via a stairway on the left side of the barn and offers nearly 1,500 square feet of open space. Initially, it will be used for overflow seating during wedding receptions, allowing guests to relax while staying part of the celebration.
Over time, this loft may also host cocktail lounges, photo stations, or other creative setups depending on how couples use the space.
Patio & Outdoor Flow Improvements
Along with indoor upgrades, our back patio framing and trusses are part of the next phase. This outdoor space improves guest movement between ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception areas, something couples love when hosting outdoor barn weddings in Ohio.
