Happy Mother’s Day & Barn Progress Update at The Grange Hall
This week has been exciting progress-wise here at The Grange Hall, and we’re happy to share a quick construction update along with a special Mother’s Day moment.
Interior Barn Construction Update
We knocked out more of the interior barn metal, finished our staircase, and completed framing for the interior walls of the bride room and bathrooms. Early in the week, the Amish crew completed the remaining exterior metal on the back addition.
As planned, we went with black finishes for the ceiling, walls, and post wraps, giving the space a clean, modern rustic look. We also finalized the sewer pipe installation and encased it in concrete where it crosses the back driveway to ensure long-term durability.
Our goal is to finish the barn interior this week and have the final concrete poured Tuesday morning. Cody will also complete the rough-in electrical work for the bride room and bathrooms early in the week, allowing us to move forward with drywall and tile by the weekend.
A Special Mother’s Day Moment
Along with construction progress, it’s also Mother’s Day, and we want to wish Alexis her very first Happy Mother’s Day as she transitions from dog mom to human mom this September.
Baby “Boy” Johnston has been passing all his checkups and staying active with plenty of movement at every appointment. We’re incredibly excited to finish the barn, and even more excited to welcome him this fall.
Big things are happening both at The Grange Hall and in our family, and we can’t wait to share what’s next.
